1. You almost get hit by a car
2. You have way too many subway/taxi stories
3. You’ve walked the street 3 o’clock in the morning
4. The homeless has become invisible
5. you’ve seen someone gets put on a stretcher
6. you played a staring game with the person living across the street through the window
7. you’ve seen a crazy man who starts swearing and making a fuss in a duane reade
8. there’s a weekend when you just stay in and don’t give about anything going on outside in the city
9. you’ve had a bagel late at night… or very early in the morning, or both.
